Kenyan Lady Living With HIV Celebrates Her 28th Birthday

Kenyan Lady identified as Doreen Moraa Moracha, Celebrates 28 years of living with HIV, According to her she was born and has been living with the Virus since 1992, making it 28 years in 2020.

HIV is a Human Immunodeficiency Virus that attacks the immune system of the body. Although there is no cure for it but with proper medicationn, it is not a death sentence people living with the virus can still go on to enjoy a normal and healthy lifestyle and even give birth to a HIV free child.

Living with HIV since 1992(the year I was born)
Been on ARVs since 2005

Tested and officially Diagnosed on my 8th birthday 20 years ago.

On 8.8.1992 a fine Saturday like today 28 years ago,the Moracha family was blessed with a baby gal Smiling face, 8 years later she was diagnosed with HIV,there were no ARVs and no hope that she would live to see her 28th birthday today I celebrate LIFE Flexed biceps HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME Clinking glasses Party popper Confetti ball Birthday cake
20 years ago a day like today on my 8th birthday I got a herpes zoster infection on my face the scar is still there that infection led to my official HIV diagnosis my doctors were skeptical I’d see my 12th birthday here I am celebrating yr 28 GOD IS NOT DONE WITH ME YETPurple heartPurple heartPurple heart
